A Little Bit About Me
|
Hello, and welcome to my website! I'm James Stryker, a writer who dreams of being read. I'm proud to be among the award-winning, NY Times, and USA Today bestselling clients of BookEnds Literary, represented by Moe Ferrara. My first novel, Assimilation, is now available from Pan Macmillan, and my second and third novels, Boy: A Journey and The Simplicity of Being Normal, are available through NineStar Press! My first short story, Intransigent is also featured in Serendipity Literary Magazine.
I currently live in small-town Pennsylvania, though I grew up in Ogden, Utah. How did I make it here? There's no better reason for a cross country move than to be with the love of your life (a writer of the young adult variety, constant inspiration, and expert maker of fajitas). I'm a foster dad of a sweet little boy, and I also share a residence with a pack of pugs who keep my world full of strange scents and my sweaters covered in fur. Until I’m able to do nothing but write (Walden with Wi-Fi), I'm part of the leadership team at a customer service center where my primary responsibilities include project management, data gathering/analysis, and photoshopping mustaches. When not writing, I can be found reading, listening to opera at obscene decibels, wearing pedantic vests/sweaters with large buttons, and trying to figure out who in our neighborhood has fabric softener that smells like Dr. Pepper. |
